"I'm Confessin' (That I Love You)" is a great old standard.  You're listening to a vocalese of a Lester Young solo of that great tune.  Expanded lyrics written by Kelly.

This Friday (June 18) come down to Boxley's in North Bend, WA.  I'll be doing 7:00 and 9:00 shows.  The food is great!  Nice wine list.  If you like that sort of thing.   :)    School is out!  Yay!  I've got a week off until I start teaching summer school.  Yes, I signed up for it - I think I'm a workaholic!  But I love it - I get to teach Music Appreciation (I love to turn them on to everything from Josquin des Prez to Arnold Schoenberg - I especially enjoy when they decide they actually LIKE opera - you can't listen to Maria Callas singing as Violette in La Traviata and NOT like it!).  I also teach a beginning piano class.  It's fun to watch people who have never touched a piano in their life, actually play some little pieces by the end.  I'm so lucky I get to do what I love!

Have a fantastic summer everyone!  :)

JazzTimes Magazine, March 2008 issue: "Kelly Eisenhour boasts a seductive voice that is at once cognac smooth and espresso-rich. "Eisenhour is a sublime standards bearer." "Another member of the too-large club of superior jazz vocalists deserving of wide-spread popularity."

Downbeat Magazine, December 2007 issue gives Kelly's album 3 1/2 stars
"Eisenhour occasionally opts for conversational phrasing that places emphasis on the lyrics and her glowing vocals. . ." Mark Murph, the reviewer also says that certain tracks "resonate with subtle modern r&b sensibilities. . ." and "Eisenhour also shines on the more straight ahead material."

Terrific voice, clear, sharp, arresting. . . --- Tom Hull, writer for The Village Voice

Your feature went very well this past week - the phones lit up for
giveaways last night. . .
I have to say, I like everything on Seek and Find. The band is great -
it's a wonderful album.

"That Kelly gal can sing." --Arturo Gomez, Music Director jazz89KUVO Denver

The disc was easy to add to our playlist. I was pleased to see
your song selections, some old school but not the 100,000 version of Autumn
Leaves. The arrangements of several standards (I Didn't Know..., My
Man's..., I Only have Eyes..., Soul Eyes) were refreshingly original and
your vocal style fit beautifully. You sound relaxed and very much in the
moment. These days that's more of a rarity then you might think. That's one
of the main reasons your disc was a no brainer to add to our rotation.

"Kelly Eisenhour is a prolific vocalist. . .she proves to be a seasoned professional with plenty of talent to handle any piece that comes her way."
